Hi everyone,
It seems that my current day job is taking a lot of time away from my hobby which is investments, an important part of my family finances. Therefore, I have not been posting as frequently as before. Here are some updates on my portfolio.
As I have managed to buy an EC last month, I am in the process of raising cash to pay the next 15% for my new home. Beside drawing from my cash reserve, I have sold my entire stake in Cambridge Industrial Trust at $0.695. Coupled with my earlier sale in LMIR which I used to pay the first 5% when I sign the OTP, my current monthly income is now $770 which is slightly below my monthly car installment of $820.
I would need to be more conscious in saving up and rebuilding my portfolio in 2014 when it comes.
Welcome
Welcome to my investment blog where I share with you my analysis of REITs in Singapore.
I hope that my investment philosophy will bring me a steady stream of income apart from my job. I am aiming for at least $3,000 per month which can sustain the current expenses of myself and my family.
Do enjoy reading my blog and post any comments that you have. I welcome them because it is a time to learn from each other.
When I am looking at investing in REIT, here are some of the guidelines that I am looking at. Feel free to comment on it. I am willing to listen to ideas.
-> at least 8% yield.
-> Price that is lower than its NAV.
-> Low gearing (if possible)
-> High secured NAV.
