Welcome

Welcome to my investment blog where I share with you my analysis of REITs in Singapore.

I hope that my investment philosophy will bring me a steady stream of income apart from my job. I am aiming for at least $3,000 per month which can sustain the current expenses of myself and my family.

Do enjoy reading my blog and post any comments that you have. I welcome them because it is a time to learn from each other.

When I am looking at investing in REIT, here are some of the guidelines that I am looking at. Feel free to comment on it. I am willing to listen to ideas.

-> at least 8% yield.
-> Price that is lower than its NAV.
-> Low gearing (if possible)
-> High secured NAV.

Current Dividend income is $3,800/month.

Long Time No See... Current Holdings

It has been a long time (about a month) since I updated this blog. It has been busy at work and at home so it is getting more difficult to keep up with the postings. Here are some updates on my current holdings.

I am looking at purchasing an EC recently and am preparing some cash for the 5% payment. Thus, I have sold LippoMalls to raise this amount of cash. It is definitely not the best price as it has declined by quite a lot from its peak of 50 cents but still enough for a profit because my average buying price is quite low (about 40 cents). I may be wrong in selling it because now the US debt seems to have a resolution soon and its price went up ever since I sold it.

This shows that I still have a lot to learn especially the skill of selling. Will appreciate any advice given in the comments section.

The earnings period has resumed and I will be trying my best to post my thoughts on the various reports that are on their way. I am still looking at the different REITs but I am unlikely to make purchases until my plans for my family is firmed up. Currently my monthly income is about $1000 which is still able to finance my car loan (which I bought late last year)

Ok. That's all for now. Enjoy your holiday.
