For the past one week, I was trying to buy the rights issue at a cheap price to reduce my capital investments. However, it went up so quickly that I did not have the chance to buy them. (Was queueing at 0.035 in hope for it to drop. Now it is at 0.055 which make it impossible)
After pondering for a while, I have decided and made an investment of 12,000 shares at $0.485 (instead of rights issue). This will substantially increase my shareholding of Cambridge and also gives me 10% yield with discount to NAV. Because of this investment, my annual returns is now at $4,200 from a total investment value of $46,000. This is about $350 per month.
There will be more to come because I still have 3,000 rights issue and I still intend to apply for excess rights. I hope to subscribe a total of 5,000 shares for this exercise. (Earning a small profit)
Welcome
Welcome to my investment blog where I share with you my analysis of REITs in Singapore.
I hope that my investment philosophy will bring me a steady stream of income apart from my job. I am aiming for at least $3,000 per month which can sustain the current expenses of myself and my family.
Do enjoy reading my blog and post any comments that you have. I welcome them because it is a time to learn from each other.
When I am looking at investing in REIT, here are some of the guidelines that I am looking at. Feel free to comment on it. I am willing to listen to ideas.
-> at least 8% yield.
-> Price that is lower than its NAV.
-> Low gearing (if possible)
-> High secured NAV.
